Warren County Conservation's Community Garden

    What is the community garden?

A young endeavor at WCCD is the Kaleidoscope Farm community garden at the Housing Authority of Bowling Green. This allows residents, without their own land, the ability to grow their foods. The garden is striving to become a model for integrated urban agroforestry while using conservation best management practices.

WCCD is proud to provide funding to this project. Other benefits include better access to nutritionally rich foods that are otherwise unavailable and reduced food stress for families. Future plans will consist of educating residents on harvesting, cleaning, storing, and preparing produce for market sale as well as cooking and consuming crops.

We encourage you to go to the garden and check it out. If you would like to take a tour during the growing season, give us a call!

Check out their Facebook page for current happenings!
