Local Water and Soil Protection Program

Cover Crop Eligibility
- 50/50 Cost Share Rate not to exceed $3,000.00 (Reimbursed 50% of expenses, up to $3,000)
- One application per FSA farm number/Landowner
- Cost-share available for seed cost only, up to $25 per acre
- Must have an updated Ag Water Quality Plan
- Wheat as a single species is not eligible
- Applicants are subject to a random spot check


Gateway & Barn Access Eligibility

 - 50/50 Cost Share Rate not to exceed $1,000.00 (Reimbursed 50% of expenses, up to $1,000)
- One application per FSA farm number/landowner
- Cost share available for gravel and woven wire geotextile fabric
- Must have an updated Ag Water Quality Plan
- Only gateways and barn access points are eligible, this does NOT apply to driveways
- Applicants are subject to spot-check. 


Farm Cleanup Assistance Eligibility

 -The farm must be located in Warren County and have a farm serial number (FSN).
-One application per farm number/landowner
-A farm dump is defined by the KY EPA as “an area on a farm used to dispose of household garbage, junk furniture, appliances, farm chemicals, and anything else that is no longer usable”.
-A KY AG Water Quality Plan is required.
-WCCD will fund up to four cleanups in the county per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). All applications are due by September 1, 2023, and will be reviewed/by the WCCD Board of Supervisors. 



 *To be eligible for WCCD programs, you must be a Warren County resident.
